No. ZAFFERANO & CO. represents Italian excellence across many industries. The marketplace may include food, beverages, fashion, clothing, footwear, jewelry, beauty products, fragrances, home furnishings, kitchenware, art, design, automotive products, industrial components, craftsmanship, technology, and other authentic Italian goods.

Italian producers, artisans, manufacturers, established brands, authorized distributors and other businesses offering authentic Italian products can open a vendor account by choosing a plan on the Sell With Us page.

Not necessarily. Businesses located outside Italy may apply if they are the manufacturer, brand owner, or authorized distributor of qualifying Italian products and can provide the required documentation.

Products must meet the authenticity, origin, brand, and category requirements established by ZAFFERANO & CO. Products presented as Made in Italy must comply with all applicable origin and labeling regulations.

Yes. Authorized distributors may apply, but they must provide evidence that they are legally permitted to sell and represent the products submitted to the marketplace.

Yes. Independent Italian artisans and small producers are welcome to apply if they operate legally, can provide the required documentation, and can fulfill customer orders reliably.

No approval is needed to open a vendor account. Choose the $29/month Vendor plan (up to 100 products) or the $99/month Vendor Unlimited plan, complete checkout, and your vendor dashboard opens right away. All vendors and products must follow the Marketplace Vendor Agreement and the Vendor Product Standards; listings that break the rules or the law may be removed and accounts may be suspended.

Go to the Sell With Us page, sign in or create your account, choose your plan and complete checkout. Your vendor dashboard opens immediately, and you can add your company details and products from there.

Applicants may be asked to provide business registration documents, tax information, bank details, product certifications, origin documents, distribution authorizations, insurance information, licenses, permits, and other documentation relevant to their products and markets.

There is no waiting period. Your vendor account is active as soon as your membership payment is complete. ZAFFERANO & CO. may still check vendors and listings at any time and may ask for documents such as origin, certifications or distribution authorizations.

No. A membership gives you access to the marketplace and the vendor tools. It does not guarantee placement, traffic, orders, sales or income.

Counterfeit products, unauthorized replicas, stolen goods, unsafe products, misleading products, and items that violate applicable laws, intellectual property rights, marketplace standards, or ZAFFERANO & CO. policies are prohibited.

ZAFFERANO & CO. may request origin documents, invoices, certifications, trademarks, distribution agreements, production information, photographs, samples, or other evidence before approving a product or seller.

Yes. Product samples may be requested for quality review, photography, editorial evaluation, marketing, or other approval purposes. Sample requirements will be communicated directly to the applicant.

You get immediate access to your vendor dashboard, where you can complete your company profile, add products, manage inventory, receive orders, track your balance and payouts, and buy advertising.

Yes. Active vendors upload and manage their own products from the vendor dashboard. The Vendor plan includes up to 100 products (variants of the same product count as one product); Vendor Unlimited has no product limit. ZAFFERANO & CO. may edit, hide or remove listings that are inaccurate or break the Vendor Product Standards or the law.

Product listings may require a title, detailed description, price, SKU, inventory quantity, dimensions, weight, materials, ingredients, origin, certifications, shipping information, return conditions, professional images, and any legally required warnings or disclosures.

The seller is responsible for providing complete, accurate, current, and legally compliant information for every product submitted.

Pricing responsibilities are defined in the seller agreement. Sellers must provide accurate prices and notify ZAFFERANO & CO. of any changes. Prices must comply with applicable laws and marketplace policies.

Yes. You can change prices and inventory at any time from your vendor dashboard. Prices must be accurate and lawful, and orders already placed keep the price the customer paid.

Unless a separate agreement states otherwise, sellers are responsible for maintaining accurate inventory information and preventing orders for unavailable products.

You do. When an order arrives you accept it in your vendor dashboard and ship it within 3 days of the order. You can buy a prepaid USPS, UPS or FedEx label directly in your dashboard (the tracking is added to the order and the customer is emailed automatically), or ship with your own carrier and enter the tracking number, or deliver it yourself. If you cannot ship an item, click "Can't ship" and give the reason: the customer is not charged or is refunded right away. Orders not shipped within 3 days are canceled and refunded automatically, and cancellations count toward your cancellation rate.

Storage or fulfillment services may be available only through a separate written agreement. Approval as a marketplace seller does not automatically include warehousing or fulfillment services.

The customer pays shipping and handling at checkout (there is no free shipping on ZAFFERANO & CO.). That amount goes toward your shipping label. If you buy the label in your dashboard and it costs more than what the customer paid, you pay only the difference, taken from your balance. If you ship with your own carrier, you pay your carrier directly. Add the weight and size to each product so the right shipping is charged and the label fills in by itself.

International sellers may be considered if they can legally export their products, comply with United States import requirements, provide reliable delivery, and manage all required customs, documentation, duties, and product regulations.

Responsibility for customs documentation, duties, taxes, inspections, and import compliance is established in the seller agreement and must be clearly defined before products are activated.

ZAFFERANO & CO. may manage the initial marketplace communication, while sellers may be required to provide product, shipping, warranty, or technical support. The exact responsibilities are established during onboarding.

Returns and refunds are managed according to the ZAFFERANO & CO. marketplace policies, the seller agreement, applicable consumer laws, and any product specific restrictions. Sellers must cooperate promptly with all approved return or refund requests.

The seller may be required to replace the product, issue or fund a refund, provide a shipping label, or take another corrective action according to the marketplace policy and seller agreement.

Yes. Food producers and authorized distributors may apply. All food products must satisfy applicable production, packaging, labeling, ingredient, allergen, import, storage, and food safety requirements.

Alcoholic beverages may be offered only through properly licensed and approved sellers. The licensed alcohol seller must manage the regulated sale, payment, age verification, fulfillment, delivery, and all required state and federal compliance.

Unless ZAFFERANO & CO. has the required license for a specific transaction and jurisdiction, the licensed alcohol seller remains responsible for the regulated sale and acts as the seller of record.

Yes. Cosmetics, fragrances, skincare, and beauty products may be submitted if they comply with all applicable safety, ingredient, labeling, import, and marketing requirements.

Yes. ZAFFERANO & CO. is not limited to food. Qualifying Italian fashion, jewelry, furniture, home, design, and lifestyle products may be submitted for review.

Yes. Authentic Italian automotive products, machinery, components, tools, and industrial goods may be considered if the seller can provide complete technical information, certifications, warranties, shipping details, and legal compliance documentation.

There are two monthly plans, both cancelable anytime: Vendor at $29/month for up to 100 products, and Vendor Unlimited at $99/month for unlimited products, with 5 blog keywords included and no click charges on them. ZAFFERANO & CO. keeps a 10% commission on each sale. Two sales channels are optional: the Brand Ambassador channel and the ZAFFERANO & CO. Sales Network (we list your products on other marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon and Google Merchant, and you ship the orders); on sales that come through them you pay an additional 15%. Advertising, shipping labels bought in your dashboard, the FDA service ($499 per year) and equipment are optional and charged separately. Each sale appears in your dashboard balance as pending. After a 30-day return window, sales that were not canceled or refunded become available, minus the marketplace commission and any other agreed fees, and can be paid out to your saved payout account.

Payments may be delayed, adjusted, or withheld when necessary to address refunds, disputes, chargebacks, suspected fraud, policy violations, missing documentation, or other obligations permitted by the seller agreement and applicable law.

Banking requirements depend on the seller's country, payment method, currency, and onboarding conditions. Supported payment arrangements will be confirmed during the approval process.

Yes, unless a separate written agreement includes exclusivity. Sellers remain responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, pricing, and availability across every sales channel.

Yes, and you pay only for real readers and shoppers. In your vendor dashboard you can promote your products in the site search (Sponsored Search) and with orange keyword links inside our recipes and articles (Blog Advertising). You choose the keywords, your own max bid for each keyword and your budget (blog campaigns from $25). Every click is verified: bots are never charged, the same reader is charged only once every 24 hours, click bursts are blocked and you never pay more than your budget. You pay one cent more than the next advertiser, never more than your max bid. Unused blog budget is not lost: it stays as ad credit for your next campaign. Vendor Unlimited includes 5 blog keywords with no click charges. You can also advertise in Born Italian Magazine (print and digital). All terms are in the Advertising Services Agreement.

No. Sponsored Product Search promotes products sold on the marketplace, so it is available only to vendors with an active membership.

No. Blog keyword links lead readers to marketplace products, so Blog Advertising is available only to vendors with an active membership.

Sponsored placements are presented in a visually distinct format and identified according to applicable advertising and consumer transparency requirements.

No. Advertising may increase visibility, but it does not guarantee impressions, clicks, orders, revenue, or any specific commercial result.

Approved sellers may be considered for product guides, features, interviews, recipes, comparisons, or other editorial opportunities. Editorial inclusion is not automatically included with seller approval unless stated in a separate agreement.

Only with written authorization and according to the official brand guidelines. Seller approval does not give unrestricted permission to use ZAFFERANO & CO. trademarks, logos, images, or other intellectual property.

Sellers retain ownership of their original intellectual property. By submitting content, sellers grant ZAFFERANO & CO. the rights necessary to display, promote, advertise, distribute, and operate the product listings according to the seller agreement.

Yes. ZAFFERANO & CO. may edit titles, descriptions, categories, formatting, images, search information, and other listing elements to maintain accuracy, consistency, quality, legal compliance, and marketplace standards.

Yes. ZAFFERANO & CO. may suspend or remove products or sellers because of inaccurate information, poor service, repeated delays, excessive cancellations, customer complaints, legal concerns, authenticity issues, unsafe products, intellectual property violations, or other policy breaches.

Yes. Sellers may request account closure according to the notice period, pending order requirements, financial obligations, return responsibilities, and other conditions stated in the seller agreement.
